The Modesto Senior Citizens Center provides potlucks, a, AARP Safe Driving Courses, influenza immunizations, seminars, tax aid and many other activities. Here's a sample Wednesday in July: Aerobics, Strength Training, Games, Pinochle, Beg. Tai Chi, Senior Meal, Movie: Yogi Bear, and Round Dance.

At the Castle Air Museum, you'll see the B-25, the B-24 Liberator and the B-29. The McHenry Mansion--listed on the National Register of Historic Places--was built by hand by a local businessman in the 1880s. The State Theater, opened in 1934, is an Art Deco Style venue that hosts a variety of live music and productions. The Gallo Center for the Arts is an 84,000 square foot facility that hosts the Modesto Symphony Orchestra Association, The Townsend Opera Players, and the Central West Ballet.
