Atlanta Assisted Living Facilities And More

This site was originally created after a bad experience trying to find an Atlanta assisted living facility for my father ( He lived in Sandy Springs). After a stroke, he went into rehabilitation for a week. At the end of that period, we did not know for sure whether he would need an assisted living facility or a nursing home. We were lucky and the damage was limited to walking, vision and disorientation. In 2 days, my sister and I had to setup a whole new life for our father. The whole process was so difficult because the information about facilities is spread over so many websites. Our first concern was location so we needed to see every facility in the area on a map. You can now get that information using our advance search. We wanted to have pictures. This site has more pictures of faculties than any other directory. We wanted recommendations. Here you can find reviews of independent and assisted living faculties, in addition to nursing homes and Alzheimer's care facilities. We apologize that we do not have more reviews but that will come as we grow. If you need support, we recommend contacting yourlocal Ombudsmen. We also have article to help you thought some of the difficult decisions.

Atlanta is a great state for assisted living because there is such a great abundance of option for seniors and a great selection of cultural attractions that can be excellent field trips from the assisted living facility. In the downtown area you will find the Westin Peachtree Plaza, the SunTrust Plaza, 191 Peachtree Tower, the Georgia-Pacific Tower, and Peachtree Center Other attractions include Atlanta Cyclorama, Civil War Museum, Rhodes Hall, Jimmy Carter Presidential Center, Fox Theatre, Fernbank Science Center, Woodruff Arts Center, Georgia aquarium, the Atlanta Opera, World of Coca-Cola, Underground Atlanta, and Piedmont Park. The key to finding a great assisted living facility is to search all the surrounding areas Atlanta is a big town with many suburbs, each with a unique set of senior housing options. Areas like Griffin, East Point, Dacula, Tyrone, and McDonough offer totally different options from Grayson, Tucker, Cumming, Dunwoody, Smyrna, and Canton. The suburbs of Marietta, Temple, Buford, and Alpharetta may be a better location for an assisted living facility that one in Mableton, Norcross, Kennesaw, Winder, Douglasville or Fayetteville. You may find that downtown Atlanta facilities are more expensive than those in Suwanee, Roswell, Brooks, Conyers, Newnan, Lovejoy, Jonesboro, Acworth, Fairburn or Doraville. If you would like to see facilities in these areas, just type the name of the city and state in the advance search box to see all the assisted living faculties in this area.
