Exercise classes include Tai Chi, slow stretch, and senior aerobics. Some activities include bingo, "sittin' and knittin'", painting, and woodcarving. Through the ARC, Glendale Community College offers free seminar classes. And some of the current field trips includes visits to the Aquarium of the Pacific, Knott's Berry Farm, and a dinner and ride on the Fillmore & Western Railroad.

Downtown Glendale has over 200 shops, boutiques, restaurants, theaters and spas, plus a weekly farmer's market. Be sure to see the landmark Alex Theater, built in 1925 and resident companies such as Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Glendale Youth Orchestra, and Alex Film Society. Visit the beautiful and historic Brand Park Art and Music Library. Gaze at the stars at the Glendale Community College Planetarium.
