Forbes magazine called Savannah among “America’s Prettiest Towns.” And it’s easy to see why. Stroll through the Savannah Historic District, past mansions built in the 18^th and 19^th centuries, through the city’s Spanish Oak squares containing memorials to historic figures. The 30-acre Forsyth Park sits in the heart of the historic district. You’ll find walking paths, a large fountain, café, and sports fields.

Among the city’s other historic locations are its churches. Christ Church, founded in 1733 and located on Johnson Square, was home to rectors John Wesley and George Whitefield. The First Bryan Baptist Church was built in 1794 by Andrew Bryan, a freed slave. The Gothic Temple Mickve Israel, located in Monterey Square, is one of the oldest synagogues in the country.

Other historic districts include the Riverfront Plaza with its restored historic cotton warehouses and City Market with its cafes, antiques and outdoor plazas.

A home health aide averages $3,289 a month and homemaker services (cooking, running errands, etc.) average $3,194.
