Vincennes Continuing Care Retirement Communities

Vincennes Assisted Living

Indiana is a beautiful state, especially the Vincennes region. The assisted living facilities are fantastic and have plenty of other activities for you to enjoy while you are living at them. The problem is that people seem to think that an assisted living facility is going to hamper their freedoms, which is entirely false. When you live at an ALF you are free to leave whenever you want or need to, they are only there to help with things you cannot do on your own. Things like helping you get dressed in the morning and reminding you to take your medicine are common things residents require help with.

A Vincennes assisted living facility isn’t that expensive either, when compared with the cost of living in the rest of the state. The average cost of living in an assisted living facility is $41,040 annually, which averages out to be $3,420 per month. This cost is expected to increase by about 6% in the next five years, so locking in a price as soon as possible would be in your best interest.

Unless you have hobbies that don’t require you to get outside, you will want to live in a town that has plenty for you to do and enjoy. Luckily for you Vincennes has plenty of things for you to do. George Rogers Clark National Historical Park is the first place that newcomers should visit. The historical park is setup to commemorate the capture of Fort Sackville from the British. The monument is very beautiful and spacious with grounds staff that are willing to give tours and answer any questions you might have. Between the sheer amount of history the place is dedicated to, and the friendly staff, it’s a great place to start learning the history of the area.

Are you the type of person that likes to pass the time with golf? There are plenty of golfing establishments and clubs in the area for you to get involved in. Vincennes Elks Country Club is one of the more prestigious of the clubs in the area. Public play on this course is only available Monday and Friday, but it gives you a good chance to try out the course for yourself and see if you like it. It’s a very straightforward course with minimal hazards, but the green on the course is phenomenal and make it a very enjoyable experience.
