Resident & family reviews

Prescott House Transitional Care unit

My mom is currently a patient in Prescott House TCU & has been since her admission on 12/30/09 following a fall in which she fractured her left humerus. She is almost 87 y.o. and has some memory & judgment issues which require patience, cuing & repetitive instruction. The staff from the nurses, the therapists ( O.T. & P.T), the social worker, and aides have been nothing short of wonderful. I'm a registered nurse myself so I have worked in a great many settings & certainly understand the strain these care givers are under on a day to day basis. However, to a person they have been kind, patient, and very responsive to not only my mother but also to family members as well. Given the staffing and the fiscal constraints of today's health care system, I find this nothing short of a miracle as well as a pleasant surprise. My mother will soon be ready for discharge . However, I would not hesitate to utilize Prescott House again either as a TCU or as a permanent nursing home placement for my mom if that were to become a necessity. I would have given this facility a 5 star rating but did not only because I think their costs are the same as other nursing homes/TCU's in the area. Pat Coppeta BSN, R.N.
